ALL LEVELS: This class is for those new to acting as well as professional and trained actors. All benefit from deepening collaborative skills and physical acting while connecting with others in cultivate play!
Why Take This Workshop?
Because Adults need a safe space to explore play. To cultivate a physical and creative craft boosts confidence. To move your body and explore the brain and body connection is deeply therapeutic. To allow your imaginations to run free is important. To collaborate with others in in healthy ways matters. This class is taught on the beautiful land of Littletree Orchards and is focussed on structured play and training.
About The Teaching Artist:
Elizabeth Seldin has been in love with theater her whole life. She is a physical artists who has taugh children and adults for the past 20 years. She currently is Producing Artistic Director of Pandoluci Studios and offers classes for adults in theater, dance and storytelling as she loves these forms of connecting and training and wants to share them and create space for others to explore and hone their incredible gifts so that they too can bring them into the world. 10AM-11AM: We will deep dive into physical theater principles, activities, excercises and tools as a group.
11AM-12PM: Devised Theater Workshop- building upon the pervious hour we will dive into how to creeate solo, duo, trio and group devised work utilizing "equisite time" by breaking down elements of creation and then using them as a springboard for collaboration.
1PM-2PM: Lifting off from the previous two hours this time groups will break into sections focussed on theme creation culminating in a sharing and reflection period.
The goal of the workshop is to empower, inspire and offer tools that go beyond the three hours. Pandoluci (Pando = I Spread, Luci= Light; Pandoluci = I Spread Light) The Studios mission is to give people tools and opportunity to light up from the inside and allow them to bring stories to life that light up the world.
